I can't imagine why you would write those words.
You have to know that they would tear me up.
Even if they were the greatest words I ever read.
I know they weren't yours...
And I am sure they weren't intended to mean a thing. On the slight chance they were, however,
you must know that they are completely welcomed.
My stolen verse is always for you...

Serenity...NOW!
Ok, if you were planning on seeing the movie Serenity...do it before you read this...even if you werent planning on seeing it, GO SEE IT and then you may be deemed worthy of reading my post...
So, I used to watch Firefly at random times of the night when I first started college...and anytime I ever mentioned something about it nobody ever knew what I was talking about, so for a LONG time, I used to think I was dreaming this shit up (I wish I was...I would be banking right now...damn Joss Whedon, stealing my ideas...)
Anyway, now there is the feature film, Serenity, which ties up a lot of the loose ends from the the series that got cancelled WAY too early...and I am trying to decide if I LOVED it or I am severely traumatized...
HERE IS THE SPOILER PART...
Wash dies. :(
Wash was ALWAYS my favorite character (in fact, I only started watching the show because I saw Alan Tudyk on the screen flipping channels...) not only because he was a sarcastic SOB, but he was so amazing with his wife, he was just plain brilliant AND he got to fly Serenity...
And he dies...I dont think I even moved for the last 25 minutes of the movie (ok, well I twitched with the whole Kaylee & Simon thing...and I dont blame River one bit. I wanted to watch, too :) from the shock of the whole thing...I wanted Wash and Zoe to have little milato babies that wandered around the ship and gave Uncle Jayne a hard time...and now that is out of the question...
Unless Zoe is pregnant...I can only hope...
I need another installment here, Joss. But if you kill off anyone else, I may have to...I dunno...do something...
And yes, I know I am pathetic to be talking about a movie like this...but if you didnt know that about me, you and I have never been drunk together... :)

I am back from my second trip to Orlando in the last 4 days. I must say that in some ways, this one went much more smoothly than the last...or maybe it just gave me a LOT less to think about.
Nevertheless, Material World at AKA Lounge is off to a resounding success. That place really is one of the most interesting bars in Orlando, a very Miami-type feel, but nestled away on top of a rather inconspicuous diner/sports bar. The first time I was up there, I totally fell in love with it, and I am thrilled that Matt got them to host his new 80's night.
It was awesome to get to see all of the people I really miss in Orlando, although I must admit that having a room full of pretty much every boy in the city that I ever made out with AND giving me 8 free shots was PROBABLY a bad idea...and definitely why I didnt make it to work yesterday. Thank god for Matt and Todd taking me to get food and giving me a place to crash when it was obvious that I wasnt going to be driving anywhere...that was probably about the time that I decided to sit in the parking lot of Steak n Shake with my head between my knees... (by the way, that will not stop the world from spinning, so I don't recommend it.)
Oh yeah, and it looks like I left my credit card at AKA. I kinda need that back...I will have to call them again.
OK, so maybe this trip was an utter failure...and I DID have a lot of fun this weekend...
But I kinda like being self-destructive more than being uncertain...

I must be crazy.
I made a decision this weekend that will in all honesty be with me for the rest of my life.
I think it might even make me more crazy to be writing about it here, but in all honesty I have decided that a)I need to vent and b) no one really reads this but me anyway...
I have never been the obsessive girl who plays by some societal rules. I have always managed to be myself and do what I want when I want to do it, without malicious intent or dire consequence.
I may have gone too far this time. I took something that someone said and ran with it...and while there were really no cataclysmic repercussions, I understand now why I should at least make an attempt to keep my heart off my sleeve...
I just want this to be right so badly, but the logical part of me realizes that there are things that I don't know, and that I probably don't want the answers to. Who knows, maybe me going out on a limb was the first step in making this situation more concrete.
Or it is possible that I realy am just crazy.
Either way, I can't regret any of it, even though it may have raised a few eyebrows. It was fun for me, and it was the right thing to do in my mind at the time. There may be a day that I look back and think that it wasn't the best choice I could have made; but it was the choice I made and it was good for at least that moment in time.
I can only hope that I got my point across, even though I still can't bring myself to say anything outright.
I guess, in my own strange way, I just needed your small dose of sanity.
~~
"A four-year offense to the devoted type.
I may have got an invitation but I wasn't invited.
But I thought that this meant something more
Than broken hearts and new addictions.
We'll leave our sins within the carpet twine.
Our bodies will dissolve the chemicals in due time."

Have you ever had that one friend that you were never sure why you're friends with? Like you have been friends for so long that it seems impossible to sever all ties with them, but on the other hand you can't really fathom why you ever got close in the first place??
Well, that is Josh for me. He was my first adolescent crush (and I was his...), my first heartbreak, and probably my oldest friend, other than Krysti.
But I honestly dont even know if we even LIKE each other any more...I am pretty sure the answer to that question is no, but on the other hand, I LOVE him...cry-all-alone-in-my-bed-for-days-if-something-were-to-ever-happen-to-him, celebrate-the-great-moments-of-his-life, be-his-shoulder-if-he-needs-one, LOVE him. In a sisterly sort of way, and in a strictly plationic sense, but he is probably the closest male in my life, other than my dad.
I really cant explain what I mean...I just know that he said something to me today that genuinely hurt me...and I can't even fathom why I am taking it so personally...but I am sad and lonely and infuriated all at the same time and it really isnt even that big of a deal...but it comes down to the fact that making an effort for our friendship nowadays has become too much for either of us, even when we have been given the greatest of opportunities to reconnect...and THAT makes me sad and lonely and infuriated...
I guess it might just be time to let him go...maybe we have just been trying too hard to be so close for so long and maybe just calling it quits will work out better in the long run...
I just cant take being disappointed by someone that has always, until recently, claimed to love me wholeheartedly...but then, I guess when those words stop, it is all downhill...
Welcome to the bottom, my friend...its been an interesting ride.

| Your Birthdate: March 23 | With a birthday on the 23rd of the month (5 energy) you are inclined to work well with people and enjoy them. You are talented and versatile, very good at presenting ideas. You may have a tendency to get itchy feet at times and need change and travel.
You tend to be very progressive, imaginative and adaptable. Your mind is quick, clever and analytical. A restlessness in your nature may make you a bit impatient and easily bored with routine. You may have a tendency to shirk responsibility. Very sociable, you make friends easily and you are an excellent traveling companion. |
Apparently, that is ALL you need to know...

I saw an 8 year old girl die last night.
Not the best way to start out a post, but I cant really get around it. She was involved in a car accident that I witnessed...due in NO fault to her mother behind the wheel; some guy just sideswiped them, and their SUV flipped 3 times into a ditch on 95. I called 911 but kept driving...she was still alive when the paramedics got there, but I guess she died at Delray Memorial later on.
Her name was Maria T. Rojas, and she probably could have done anything in her life...but then some guy thought that he needed to be somewhere just a LITTLE BIT quicker, and ended all that.
She was wearing a fuschia longsleeved shirt and was ejected through the passenger side back window. I hope she was wearing a seatbelt, or else her parents will be even more guilt-ridden for the rest of their lives. I was one of the last people to see this poor girl alive. Just a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
And I realize that I take a lot of my life for granted. I just think that I will see the people I love a day from now or an hour from now or a minute from now...and that isn't always going to be the case.
I am in love with a guy...have been for a long time now. I think he realizes it, mostly because I will do anything he asks of me, even if he knows I would really rather not do it (and I don't really mean that sexually, because we don't really ever see each other.) I have just never gotten up the gaul to tell him...and now I can't think of a single reason why not. Thats not to say that I am actually going to DO it...I am just closer to seeing no way out of it.
Maybe it is just the guilt...I was given at least 15 more years than Maria T. Rojas and I am not too sure that I have done anything worthwhile with them.

Allegedly, these are 25 questions that one would never think to ask.
(I never thought to ask them... Ever, really.)
Let's see:
1) When you look at yourself in the mirror, what's the first thing you look at? my eyes...thats usually where my makeup gets messed up first.
2) How much cash do you have on you? Exactly $2
3) What's a word that rhymes with "TEST"? jest
4) Favorite plant? Robert?
5) Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone? Matt Smith
6) What is your main ring tone on your phone? Speed of Sound by Coldplay
7) What shirt are you wearing? Coral cami with a brown blazer
8) Do you "label" yourself, could you? I am an inexplainable list of opposites that somehow come together to form a person who should probably want to kill herself, but somehow manages to be pretty damn happy...that doesnt fit all that nicely on the back of a pair of jean though, does it?
9) Name brand of your shoes currently wearing? Candies.
10) Bright or Dark Room? Dimmer
11) What do you think about the person who took this survey before you? I think Brandi is badass, even though I dont hang with her nearly enough anymore.
12) Ever "spilled the beans"? God, all the time...mostly because my main loyalty is to Jager and Red Bull.
13) What were you doing at midnight last night? SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPING!
14) What did your last text message you recieved on your cell phone say? "I hear matts spinning too!" -from Lisa, talking about the Crush 1 year anniversary.
15) Do you ever click on "Pop Ups" or Banners? I always play the stupid game ones on myspace, but I never read any of the shit that it takes me to.
16) What's a saying that you say a lot? That is SOO badass.
17) Who told you they loved you last? LISA...quite a few times, as I recall, hehehe. :)
18) Last furry thing you touched? my frizzy-ass hair...ughhh...
19) How many hours a week do you work? technically 40, but I am here WAY more than that...but I am "working" way less than that, so...its all up in the air ;)
20) How many rolls of film do you need to get developed? Probably like 250...shit dating back to my last day of school in the 7th grade...thank god I finally got a kickass digital camera...
21)Favorite age you have been so far? I like the age I am...it has been a great year. 18 was pretty good too.
22) Your worst enemy? food...also my best friend, which explains my ASS! ughhh...
23) What is your current desktop picture? The KICKASS cast of the KICKASS show Entourage...minus Jeremy Piven as Ari Goldstien, Super Agent because a)he wasnt in the picture & b)he is WAY too cool to be on my desktop.
24) What was the last thing you said to someone? No way, I don't believe it.
25) If you had to choose between a million dollars or to be able to change a major regret? I would take the million...odds are, I could pay off the regret later ;)

August??
yeah, well, it couldnt really be THAT perfect...but it was DAMN close...
I spent my Friday night hangout out backstage at Sound Advice Amphitheatre during the Earth Wind & Fire and Chicago show. Probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen live...they were both as awesome as I would have hoped, both on stage and off...Phillip Bailey gave me a hug and told me that they wanted to keep me on for the whole tour (believe me, I would agree to that in a heartbeat if I thought he was even a little bit serious) and some of the cool kids from my office took EWF's manager and tour manager out on the town, it was good times...VIP, limos, dancing and boozing...I could SERIOUSLY get used to that life :)
On a somewhat related, yet unrelated note, one of the guys who went out with us, one of the ones I work with, I mean...I think I may have a slight crush on. Needless to say, he is hung up on the other girl that went with us who is TOTALLY uninterested, and he is TOTALLY uninterested in me...although we got a little drunken-freaky on the dance floor...ahhh, cest la vie, that is always the way that it goes...
Anyway, leave it to me, as I have NO pictorial evidence of this night, because my digital camera sucks balls and I believe that camera phones are the mark of Satan...so I went out today and paid way too much of my biweekly paycheck to get a Sony CyberShot T1...and I FREAKIN LOVE IT!! It is sooo tiny and light and cute and I am just so happy that I got off my ass and just bought it without thinking...I also got a snazzy printer for free with it, so it was actually a little cheaper than I am really making it out to be...
So next post WILL include pictures if I have to hold Krysti or Steve or Jake or WHOEVER hostage until they finally teach me how to post them... :)

The new job is going really well sofar, and tomorrow is my first real payday. I am excited about having money, but my mom keeps talking about making a "budget". that word kinda scares me a little...but maybe if I listen to her, I will have enough money to either get a new car or move out sometime soon. I really like the Huyndai Tiberon...it looks like the Nissan 350Z, but the version that I can actually afford ;)
I have gotten to see some shows since I started for free...nothing too great yet (although I was on the list for Better Than Ezra and I forgot all about it) but I am holding out hope for Coldplay & Rilo Kiley and possibly Green Day. But hell, I will take whatever I can get...especially if I dont have to pay for it...
I started planning Krysti's birthday weekend...and it looks like we are hitting up Orlando again this year. As kind of a gift to both of us, we are gonna go see The John Mayer Trio at the House of Blues. I am hoping that I can either take a sick day or personal day so we can go up there really early and get a great place in line...we can be staring up at John alllll night long :) After that, I am not sure what we are gonna do...possibly drive up to Nashville?? I dunno, I guess that depends on London ;)
Other than that, things have been pretty good...it is still a little odd to be going to bed by midnight because I am too tired to keep my eyes open...but that might have something to do with the fact that I have been out until at least 6 every night of the weekend, when I am supposed to be relaxing...
Oh yeah and my "roomie" Ginny, who sits next to me at work got bit by a poisionous spider under her desk on her toe a couple days ago...so it is closed toed shoes for me from now on...
Ok, well I am off to do something they are actually paying me for...
